In this creative space, the mission of We Are Not Broken is executed. Nick uses her camera to tell stories of the strength and courage of the women who step in front of the lenses. It’s powerful to witness as women are empowered contrary to the circumstances that attempted to break them. The space welcomes vulnerability, safety, and freedom for women who have experienced trauma. It offers a sense of relief as they are moved to embrace their emotional or physical scars and see them as reminders that they are survivors. Nick Austin and her mission gives back every day to women and children who have a story to tell about survival. A story to tell about life and what it can throw at a person often unexpectedly and how these individuals went on to share their lives with the people around them. We all go through tough times. She is about the love each person has inside themselves and sharing that love and warmth with others.
